![]() Although apparently not directly accessible from the Windows Sinhala keyboard, I was able to copy it from a Sinhala Unicode font using the Windows Character Map utility and paste it into my file name. It turns out that the sequence I wanted, 'aiyanna,' is implemented as a separate character, 0D93. He provided a link to a download of the Unicode encoding for Sinhala. I was able to solve the problem, thanks to help from a Dell tech support person. Is there some other way to generate this sequence? The input method for Sinhala requires that the key to generate 'kombuwa' follow the key to generate the character which it precedes orthographically. This sequence consists of 'kombuwa' followed by 'eyanna'. I am trying to enter the character sequence 'aiyanna' using the Windows 7 Sinhala keyboard/IME. I was able to use Sinhala unicode perfectly well with Windows 8.1 platform. Typing with Sinhala unicode (Iskolapotha) fonts සබ MSWord is problamatic with Windows 10 I have been trying to use Sinhala fonts in MSWord after upgrading to Windows 10. It uses logical key combinations to produce all the Sinhala letters. The Garp Sinhala keyboard is a fully Unicode compliant, phonetic keyboard, designed to be easy to use for anyone familiar with a QWERTY keyboard.
